Meet Akio!
Akio is a Apalachicola Regal Male, approximately i7-i8 and soon to enter the subadult stage. Currently he is nearly the size of a dime, and his fur is a beautiful black, white, and grey, with brilliant green-blue iridescent teeth. Regal jumpers tend to be a cute little handful at first, and these Apalachicolas are no exception! Once they get a few minutes of jumpies out, they are happy to perch on your hand.
Apalachicolas grow to the size of a half-dollar, these are one of the largest jumping spider species!
